Integrated Transport Plans

An integrated transport plan is a plan to develop and manage the transport system of a region in an integrated manner which supports the agreed plans to accommodate the region's forecast population growth, employment, economic and social activities.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads' Interests in Planning Schemes

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has areas of interest in the preparation and review of planning schemes. To guide local governments and other stakeholders, the department is preparing policies that clarify these interests. These policies will identify the issues the department is likely to raise during the planning scheme preparation and review process. They are designed to apply in a range of urban and regional areas.

Rail Network Strategy

The Rail Network Strategy's primary purpose is to facilitate the effectiveness of the contribution of rail to the government's desired transport outcomes.

Regional Airport Development Scheme

The Queensland Government's Regional Airport Development Scheme has been developed to assist local governments to upgrade airports in regional and remote areas of Queensland. Funds in the program are limited and will be allocated to the projects which best meet the criteria outlined in the guidelines and application form. It should also be noted that the department provides any capital grants on joint funding basis, up to a maximum of 50 per cent of the project cost, with other parties such as owners, airlines or local governments.

South East Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan

The South East Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan guides the development of the cycle network across the region by mapping existing and preferred principal cycle network routes.

Transport Coordination Plan for Queensland 2008-2018

The Transport Coordination Plan sets the strategic direction for Queensland's transport system.
